    No, it is illegal to wear headphones while driving a motorcycle in Texas.

  • Is the daytime use of headlights required by law in Texas?

    Texas requires the use of daytime headlights for all vehicles manufactured during or after 1975.

  • Is lane splitting allowed in Texas?

    Texas law does not mention or specifically prohibit lane splitting.

  • What are the motorcycle registration laws in Texas?

    In Texas, motorcycles must receive a yearly inspection at an Official Motor Vehicle Inspection Station. If your motorcycle passes, the certificate of completion must be placed near the rear license plate. This certificate is valid for one year from the month of inspection.

    Yes, Texas requires motorcycles to have a designated passenger seat.
