1. The Patriot Ride
The Annual Patriot Ride for Wounded Warriors of Mississippi is a sport ride that takes place each August, ending up in Tupelo. There is a police escort along with jogger and walker support as communities all along the ride show their support for this great fundraising event. As always, there is live music, vendors, and group camaraderie to remind you that the southern spirit of riding is strong among the Mississippi locals.
2. Vicksburg Vintage Motorcycle Show
For a great taste of historical motorcycle culture mixed with the local Mississippi biker community flair, head on down to the Vicksburg Motorcycle Show. This one day affair is short but sweet – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM – and it is centered around motorcycles, equipment, and gear well beyond your typical Mississippi motorcycle rally. And like every great local gathering for bikers, there is live music, great vendors, as well as awards and a wide range of prizes. . All you need to do is head on down to the Farmer’s Market Park to see what the commotion is all about!
3. GWRRA Mississippi District Rally
The GWRRA Mississippi District Rally is a late October weekend of fun and camaraderie to bring riders together for some Gulf Coast motorcycle fun. This year’s theme is a pajama party, and there are tons of amazing adventures throughout the three-day weekend. There are lighted bike shows, rallies, group rides, and all the eating and drinking you can ask for in a single weekend. It will be located at the Shular Hospitality Gulf Coast Event Center in Gulfport, and we encourage everyone to get tickets before they run out. After all, who wouldn’t want to go to a costume party of bikers?
4. Bodoc Fest Ride
The Bodoc Festival in Ponotoc, Mississippi is a collaborative town effort to showcase the community with a great motorcycle ride. There’s a diverse draw to this event as you can show up for the bike riding, find your way to a car show, a petting zoo, or any of the great food and music vendors there.The Bodoc Fest certainly embodies the diversity within the rider community, and we encourage you to check it out this year.
5. Armed Forces of America Poker Run
One of the Mississippi motorcycle mainstays is the AFA Poker Run. Held annually in November at the AFMC MS clubhouse in Gulfport, this event also benefits the Wounded Warrior Foundation. With a $15 buy-in per hand and a runtime of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, there’s plenty of low-cost fun and time left to get some bike aciton in. The best hand wins $250, and there is live entertainment along with food and drinks. The gambling might be up to chance, but it’s certain you’ll have a good time at this motorcycle rally.
